Aquarium of the Pacific, Pacific Visions

Long Beach, CA

The Pacific Visions project incorporates a new public plaza, member’s entry walk, park and picnic space into the development of a new state of the art theatre and gallery expansion of the Aquarium of the Pacific.  The existing donor brick paving is reimagined using multiple paving materials to weave a wide, winding path towards a special Member’s entryway.  School buses full of children are accommodated with tree shaded picnic tables and room to run in the adjacent lawn area.  Water conserving, native California plant materials form colorful border plantings to the park.
